La Duquesa
Urb El Hacho
29691 Manilva
Málaga

Designed by Robert Trent-Jones and opened in 1989 the course is always very popular and welcomes visiting golfers.  This course is renowned for its spectacular landscape with wonderful views to the Med and Gibraltar.

La Duquesa is one of the coasts most varied courses with numerous improvements having been made over the years to the course and in particular the greens.  Many holes require straight driving and a certain amount of concentration if you are going to play well.  La Duquesa is a challenge for golfers of all handicaps with a good variety of distances, hazards and well placed bunkers.  You will almost certainly have to think seriously and take extra care when lining up those putts, which are often not as easy to read as they seem.  The par 3's are delightful, particularly the 8th with a vertical drop of some 10m to a green that is only 108m away.  Another factor is the breeze, which makes play that little bit more difficult, although it can be quite refreshing throughout summer months!

A good clubhouse provides bar and restaurant facilities with a large terrace area to relax and see how other golfers cope on the home run.  You will always receive a warm welcome as La Duquesa is renowned for being one of the friendliest courses on the coast.  The course offers changing rooms, a well stocked pro shop, putting green and ample practice facilities.  There are buggies available and due to the hilly design of the course clubbgolf.com advise you take advantage of them.  Ample parking is available.

The course is situated opposite La Duqesa port in an area becoming more popular with golf tourists, particularly as the new motorway/toll has improved accessibility.  The port itself offers excellent bar and restaurant facilities with an active nightlife for anybody wishing to enjoy themselves.  If you are looking for a day out combining a game of golf with an evening of relaxation then La Duquesa certainly fits the bill.

La Duquesa are very strict about booking tee times and receiving handicap certificates.  They specify bookings must be made via clubbgolf.com with names and handicaps of players prior to your arrival.  You should ensure you let clubbgolf.com book on your behalf to avoid disappointment.

Don’t leave home without your handicap certificate!!

Drive the ball well!  Always consider the wind from the tee!
Some fairways are tighter than others and a driver is not always the correct choice!
