Urb. Mijas Golf
29649 MIJAS COSTA
MÁLAGA
http://www.mijasgolf.org/

Mijas Golf is one of the Costa del Sol’s most popular golf complexes with two 18-hole courses known as ‘Los Lagos’ (the Lakes) and ‘Los Olivos’ (The Olives).  Both courses were designed by Robert Trent-Jones, are always in excellent condition, and a true joy for visiting golfers.

‘Los Lagos’, opened in 1976, is the older of the two courses and receives its name because of eight lakes that are spread accross the course.  Water comes in to play on at least 9 holes. So beware!  With on-going improvements and refurbishment, to meet modern day standards, ‘Los Lagos’ offers a good mixture of holes to be enjoyed by golfers of all handicaps.  It is one of the longest and flattest courses on the coast with spacious fairways, few obstructions and practically no rough at all.  You will undoubtedly enjoy your golf here!!

‘Los Olivos’ is a completely different course to its watery neighbour.  Opened in 1984 the course has undergone a complete refurbishment, particularly around the lake areas, and as a result is much more picturesque.  Named after an abundance of olive trees, the course is characterised by undulating fairways, numerous bunkers, small greens and trees that are at the very least obstructive.  ‘Los Olives’ is considered to be the most demanding of the courses and will provide a very good test of golf for all standards of golfer.

Upon arrival you will find very good clubhouse facilities including changing rooms, showers and a well-stocked pro-shop.  The bar and restaurant facilities provide excellent service or you can simply enjoy a drink on the terrace.  Mijas provides good practice facilities including a driving range and putting green with tuition arranged if required.  The courses are easily walkable but to get the most of the course clubbgolf.com advise you take advantage of the buggies available particularly in warmer seasons.

Mijas Golf are very strict about booking tee times and receiving handicap certificates.  They specify bookings must be made via clubbgolf.com with names and handicaps of players prior to your arrival.  You should ensure you let clubbgolf.com book on your behalf to avoid disappointment.

Don’t leave home without your handicap certificate!!

clubbgolf.com Tips
Watch out for the water on ‘Los Lagos’.  If you don’t this course will bite back!!
Always consider the trees on ‘Los Olivos’.  They interfere with play more than you would expect!!
