Cabopino Golf Urb. Artola Alta s/n Apartado de Correos 2119 29600 Marbella http://www.cabopinogolf.com/ | Designed by Juan Ligues Creus and opened in April 2001 Cabopino is set amongst umbrella pines with lakes affecting play on at least four holes. The course is obviously young, of modern design and with maturity yet to follow the fairways and greens can be quite hard depending whether they have been watered. The course is irrigated with recycled water from a nearby plant and therefore the course condition can change on a day-to-day basis. The course will offer a good challenge for higher handicaps. Lower handicaps may take more risks in trying to find the green. The signature hole is certainly the third where the fairway is some 200m below an elevated tee! A very large bunker protects the elevated green to make it a signature hole to be admired by any golfer.
Upon arrival you will find ample parking, a club house with excellent facilities and good quality bar and restaurant facilities. The pro shop is always well stocked and the staff friendly and helpful. There are practice facilities and tuition can be arranged if required.
With your challenging, but hopefully satisfying, round complete why not look in at Cabopino’s restaurant ‘Rominos’ and enjoy a few refreshments.
Cabopino is a good day out, on a new course that is steadily maturing, and easily accessible from the N340. Many people request this course as part of their golf package as it is away from the more popular courses and a new complex. It is well worth a visit and comes highly recommended by clubbgolf.com.
Cabopino are very strict about booking tee times and receiving handicap certificates. They specify bookings must be made via clubbgolf.com with names and handicaps of players prior to your arrival. You should ensure you let clubbgolf.com book on your behalf to avoid disappointment.
Don’t leave home without your handicap certificate!!
clubbgolf.com Tips Remember hard ground on shots into greens ! (Maybe 1 club less?) Use a buggy ! If you try and walk this one you’ll regret it. |
