Monte Mayor was designed by Jose Garcedo, opened in 1992 and is a challenge to say the least!  It is playable by all standards of golfer, but is far more hospitable to an accurate tee shot rather than the wayward one we all throw in now and again!  The course consists of beautiful rolling fairways, which are always in superb condition.  The sloping greens are also of highest quality, not the easiest to get a read from although always quick and true.  During your round you will experience peace and tranquility at its very best.  Millionaire golf as we like to call it!  Natural beauty is a key feature of Monte Mayor and will surely make your visit memorable.  I am yet to meet the golfer that doesn’t ask ‘have you played Monte Mayor yet?’  The course offers a fabulous mixture of holes, with tees on raised platforms and raised green’s which always adds doubt to club selection.  Waterfalls and rivers decorate the course so be assured accuracy essential.  Most of the holes have been designed to incorporate maximum distance and difficulty, the par 3's being prime examples.  You cannot help but be impressed with the design and fabulous condition of the course, and be assured you will find it demanding in places.  Make sure you are fully aware of the local rules before you begin your round as they are very different to the norm and could surely work to your advantage.  It’s not every day you get a free drop if you miss a fairway!!  Take any shot at Monte Mayor lightly and this course will break you for sure!!
 
Make sure you take in the breathtaking views on you journey to the course......they truly are fabulous!  On arrival you will find ample parking and all the facilities you require at your disposal.  The clubhouse offers bar, restaurant and changing facilities along with a practice area and putting green.  Buggies are included in the green fee and you are recommended to take full advantage of them.  Don’t even dream of trying to walk this course, you won’t even make it round the front nine!
