La Resina is the newest par 3 course to be opened on the coast and my word does it offer a challenge!!
Opened on 12 October 2005 this course is certainly the toughest collection of par 3 holes I have ever seen..... and there's a par 4 thrown in for good measure. With raised tees and elevated greens this truly is a collection of holes that offers a test for all standards of player. Don’t visit this course thinking you will only need your wedge, because this is certainly not a ‘pitch and putt’. You will use a good selection of the clubs in your bag, and shorter hitters may even pull a driver out up the first.
Although this course is new, and work on-going, there are some great holes on offer. Many a tee-shot will scare the life out of you, although don’t be deceived, the distances are correct! With plenty of valley’s and water to negotiate it is easy to think holes are longer, or shorter, than they really are!! The greens are well maintained and require some imaginative, if not miraculous, putting if your going to get down in two. Quick and true, you will have to borrow as much as it seems, so make good use of the practice green.
The bar area is small but welcoming and comfortable. The pro-shop is also small but well stocked with quality products.
La Resina is a private club to which clubbgolf.com has negotiated access on behalf of it's members. They request bookings be made via clubbgolf.com with names of players prior to your arrival. You should ensure you let clubbgolf.com book on your behalf to avoid disappointment.
clubbgolf.com Tips
Take a buggy whenever available, this course is not good to walk. Accuracy from the tee and a belief in the given distances will serve you well. I would love to give tips on the putting but unfortunately it’s a case of ‘read it and weep’. |
