Designed by Alejandro Maldonado and opened in 1996 Dehesa Montenmedio is more than just a golf course and is absolutely unique in Andalucia.  Essentially an old finca has been converted, without the usual housing and hotels, into a centre offering a range of country pursuits.  With a golf course, considered by some experts to be amongst the finest in Europe, a huge equestrian centre and country trails to view local wildlife (deer, boar and various species of birds) there is something for all the family.  Wherever you look nature has been respected and you will undoubtedly enjoy the spectacular views of white villages, Cadiz, the Straits of Gibraltar and Africa.

The course itself is of the highest quality and an absolute delight to play.  Always in immaculate condition with tailored fairways and superb greens that are amongst the best Andalucia has to offer.  Montenmedio was designed with club golfers in mind and features wide fairways, water hazards, lots of bunkers and beautifully manicured greens.  This course will offer a good test for all standards and becomes even more challenging if the wind blows.  The design offers a good mixture of holes with varying length and difficulty.  All in all it is a very enjoyable test of golf on one of the finest courses in Europe. Play here once and you will certainly want to play here again.

On arrival you will be greeted by staff who carry your clubs to the changing facilities and clubhouse.  Only soft spikes are allowed on the course and staff are available to fit these should you require.  The clubhouse is  magnificent and offers superb changing facilities, bar and restaurant with large terraced area to enjoy that welcome drink and the surrounding countryside.  There is a well-stocked pro shop, putting green and a very large practice area that also houses its own golf academy.  Lessons are available either on an individual or  group basis.  The course that can be easily walked although clubbgolf.com recommends you take advantage of the buggies available to ensure you do not miss the breathtaking scenery.

Montenmedio are very strict about booking tee times and receiving handicap certificates.  They specify bookings must be made via clubbgolf.com with names and handicaps of players prior to your arrival.  You should ensure you let clubbgolf.com book on your behalf to avoid disappointment.
