Los Arqueros was originally opened in 1991 and holds a great deal of pride in the fact it was the first course designed by Seve Ballesteros. The courses current owners are fully commited to improving the course as will be clearly visible to regular visitors.
Set in the Sierra de Ronda and built around three lakes, the layout is beautiful with contrasting holes and a landscape offering magnificent views over Andalucia and the Med. This course demands accuracy due to many strategically placed trees just waiting to catch out the unwitting golfer. Los Arqueros offers an excellent test for even the most accomplished golfer with some very tight holes to negotiate. Position from the tee is everything here, so on occasion it will be advisable to leave the driver in the bag. The course is relatively short by today's standards but the views and technical layout more than make up for this. The thirteenth is certainly the courses signature hole where you drive from an elevated tee to a fairway below littered with bunkers. Par here should keep you extremely happy.
On arrival you will find ample parking and a modern clubhouse with excellent changing facilities. After a round of golf you can enjoy the gym, sauna or simply a well-earned drink in the bar. Food is available both in the bar and restaurant. The pro-shop is well stocked and you will always receive a warm welcome from the staff.
Visit Los Arqueros and produce your membership card to access our members discounted green fee. Alternatively you could let clubbgolf.com book on your behalf.
Handicap certificates are not always essential but if you have one, take it!!
clubbgolf.com Tips Be sensible from the tee. Position will serve you better than distance here!! Use a buggy. Ludicrous hills will have you quitting after 9 holes otherwise!! |
