June competition. Mijas Golf, Los Lagos.

Competitions

For round 4 of this years competitions we paid a visit to yet another new course .....
..... Mijas Golf's, Los Lagos.

I have to say gentlemen, it was great to see a couple of new faces joining us this time and even better to see a couple of old friends returning to the competitions.  The golf possibly could have been better, as always, and I even took us to a flatter somewhat friendlier course this month!! After having the terrible job of standing in for a 'no show' I can also confidently say, it could have also been a little cooler for us..... or was that just me?

For some reason it just doesn't seem right to be anouncing this winner. Yes, he played the best on the day and he scored the points that won the competition. But, when your winners previous prizes consist of 'worst shot of the day' (and yes it was bad, really bad!!) and a couple of dodgy 'nearest the markers' it does make you wonder one thing...... HOW? Anyway, he played the shots, made the putts and with 34pts Colin Welland is the latest player to book his place in Portugal. Well done Colin, I don't know how you did it, but you did it!!

Anyway, I'm sure Colin will return next month with a renewed confidence to his game. I'm also sure it will all go wrong again and the look of surprise and confusion on his face will be just the same as when he won!! Hehe!! Let's just hope we don't have to listen to him go on about his win for too long, eh?

Photo's coming soon!!
