I have finally entered myself into the history of Estepona Golf forever!!

I GOT A HOLE-IN-ONE!!

Yes it's true, I have finally cracked the game of golf and joined the all elusive hole-in-one club.  And yes, of course I want the world to know about it!! 

Ok, so admittedly it was the windiest day I have ever know at Estepona but it was also a sweetly hit shot exactly where I wanted it to go.  (And yes I've heard all the jokes).  A 5 wood on the 16th hit out left over the bunkers.  As I watched the ball fade in towards the center of the green, I was more than happy to have hit it.  Imagine the feeling, satisfaction turning into elation, as the ball bounced once and then landed firmly in the hole.  I have to admit I have never danced on a tee before, and comments were passed that shouts of joy could be heard in the clubhouse.

I would also like to offer a big thankyou to our member Mark Watson.  If it wasn't for Mark's insistence to continue I would have happilly walked off after nine holes, I was playing that badly.  So thanks Mark, and the pint or two I had to buy you afterwards was money well spent in my opinion.

Well, I have entered the new year a happy golfer.  A few more left with a free drink and a tale to tell.  And, the rest are probably still extremely frustrated with this beautiful old game.

Long in my memory will live the 22nd December 2005.
