Well, 'high season' is upon us again and there is only one thing for it!!
A warm welcome and a sensible price for an Individual Stableford at...
.....Estepona Golf.

Well Gentlemen, what a day we had and the wind definately appeared to be blowing in the right direction for the 'slicers' amongst us.

I have to say Estepona Golf was in the best condition I have ever seen.  This being in the 8-9years I have been playing there.  Looks like all the work being put back into the course is beginning to pay dividends.  The course played a little shorter than usual........... and that was definately a factor in the results!

The weather was great, and the scoring even better, as the higher handicappers took over for the day.  Several players were in with a good shout although most of those cards had to be re-calculated after they had been handed in!!  Now, you all know we don't hold bad maths against you.  How could we?  Golfers are notoriously bad at adding up, and remembering how many times they have swung a club in the time it took to play the hole!!  This taken into consideration, I am going to have to insist on a little more care in the marking of scores.  Have I really got to put the little red dots back on your cards?  hehe!!

Anyway, back to the golf.  As I was saying, there were good scores throughout the field and several that were in with a chance of winning...... had they held their game together for the full 18 holes!!  Most notable amongst you were:-   Ray Slotte - 41pts with a 'blob' at the 4th.  Clint Fogolin - 39pts with a 'blob' at the 4th. And, Roger Lima - 39pts with 'blobs' at the 3rd, 16th and 17th.  Although a little bird did tell me that Roger took his eye off the ball after a little 'chuppito' on the 16th?  Hehe!!  But nobody could match the score of our eventual winner.  Paul Williams - 42pts without a single 'blob' on the card!!!  Paul has now joined the ranks of players in line for Valderrama.  He has also set the record for the most points ever scored at a clubbgolf.com competition!!  And, is about to become the player with the most cut handicap in the history of clubbgolf.com!!!

Loads of records then this time, loads of good rounds and unfortunately loads of near winners.  Better luck next time gents, and first prize will still be ther next time.  Except for Paul of course!!  Hehehehehehehe!!
